We are having a dog vacation

Misha is much loved in this family.  Sophie sleeps next to her, Luca rolls around and bugs her none stop and Annie closes Misha in her room with her as she plays.  Misha seems to roll with it all pretty well and is always with the kids.  However, my mom mentioned she wouldn't mind having Misha for a few days and that she missed having a dog.  So we asked her today if she wouldn't mind having Misha for a few days, and so we sent her up to Colorado Springs, crate and all.  I must admit, winter, 3 kids, and a dog, I needed a break.  I'm sure after a few days, my mom will get her dog fix and send Misha happily home and we will all be happy to have her back.  But for now, I'm enjoying our dog sharing and having a good dog vacation.
