Today it is going to be 92 degrees in Pueblo and we are only a few days into Spring. I keep waiting for the weather to go back to "normal", but in the meantime each day we are trying to get the most out of this lovely, sometimes, too hot weather. On Friday, we took a 9 mile bike ride on a slight downward slope along the Arkansas. Here we are starting off, right below the dam, and Annie is in tears because she didn't have her own bike. So hard to be the third child!
This spring and summer, we hope to get the most out of the Arkansas river that is located just a few blocks from our home. Today I used my REI dividends, as well as 20% discounted to order my inflatable kayak. She's a beauty. What's fun about an inflatable kayak on the Arkansas stretch through Pueblo is it's pretty easy going and you don't have to work too hard to stay a float. Plus, you can take a friend along.
Down stream we'll hit the kayak park, which has a view of Pikes Peak in the background. Can't wait to play!
